darwin, the BBDO boutique, has appointed Frédéric De Vries as Head of Digital.
Frédéric has been a fulltime interactive professional since the World Wide Web opened up the public in 1996. Starting out as a webdesigner for Belgium’s Internet pioneers like The Reference and DigiPoint, his interest gradually evolved from the technical frontend of the web towards its communication potential.
When advertising agencies started to discover the Internet, Frédéric helped them understand and embrace the medium. In both strategic and creative roles for Belgium’s biggest and brightest like These Days/Y&R (strategist), BBDO Belgium (Creative Director) and Duval Guillaume (Head of Interactive Concepts), Frédéric founded a storytelling division for Saatchi & Saatchi.
